F1 fans are getting ready to see the 2017 season kick off with the Australian Grand Prix that is set to start on March 26th.

Teams are coping with a new set of regulations this year and it remains to be seen how well the drivers adapt to these rules. There is much anticipation being built up around the Formula I Rolex Australian Grand Prix as it would also mean the beginning of a new season in F1 for 2017.

As every team prepares for the upcoming event there is focus on Sauber’s team and media has been intrigued to understand how the drivers are getting adjusted to the city of Melbourne, the racing circuit as well as new regulations. After all, not everyone has the home ground advantage that Daniel Ricciardo has. Marcus Ericsson from Sauber states that he loves the city of Melbourne as it has much to offer.

The atmosphere as well as fans creates a supportive environment. Besides the races he loves the downtown area of the city as well as the Albert Park race circuit where the GP is planned.

Like every other team, Marcus is excited for the kickoff to the 2017 season in Australia. The pre season testing had been grueling as it required a lot of preparation and data collection. He states that it is important to go in for the race with a positive mindset. With a new car it would definitely bring in new experiences in the race weekend. The circuit is also tricky, given the street as well as race track characteristics. He would be partnering with Pascal Wehrlein who is also confident in the Sauber team. Pascal would be starting off in a new role as F1 race driver for the Swiss team and he is looking forward to the big race day.
