Protégé of Ferrari, Marciello joins as a test and reserve driver for Sauber.
The announcement came from the team of Swiss for 2015 season. Being 20 years of age Marciello has been tested for Ferrari that took place in Abu Dhabi. He also boasts of experience in the machinery of Formula 1.
In the championship of 2014 he stood 8th by claiming 4 podiums. He has to be dutiful towards Sauber for the GP2 second season.
He gave a statement by which he stated that he was pleased to have joined Sauber who has the experience of strengthening new and budding drivers. Going by his future career he thinks that he has taken a good decision. He is also excited about the challenging role played in F1 as a part of GP2 series. For him 2015 is going to be a busy season. The significant opportunity that he has been bestowed upon is due to Ferrari Driver Academy. All he wants to show to the world is how to deliver best.
During the course of the year of 2015 FPI outings will be part of his drive. As per the drivers of race Sauber has also signed up Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericson. The principal of the team is also delighted to include Marciello. The decision was taken by looking at the achievements of Marciello whereby he was found to have special skill in the junior level. He took part in the European Championship where he had 13 wins in his hand.
The great opportunity that he is bestowed with will give him chance to be familiar with the Formula 1 race. He will also have to undergo some of the practise sessions. He has been the driver of Formula 1 since 2011 and is going to go a long way.
